In addition, the Blackhawks become the fourth major Chicago sports team to win a championship since 1985, joining the 1985 Chicago Bears, the Chicago Bulls dynasty of the 1990s, and the 2005 Chicago White Sox.

Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as the Most Valuable Player of the playoffs, being the first Blawkhawks player to receive this honor. With teammates Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook, he won the Olympic Gold medal with Team Canada at the 2010 Winter Olympics, adding the three to the list of Ken Morrow (1980), Steve Yzerman, and Brendan Shanahan (both 2002) as the only players to accomplish this double. Having played for Team USA at the Olympics, Patrick Kane joined Chris Chelios and Brett Hull (both 2002) as having won both the Olympic Silver medal and Stanley Cup in the same year.

Marian Hossa became the first player in NHL history to play in three consecutive Stanley Cup Finals, having previously been part of two runner-up teams, and winning the Cup with his third team.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”45px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][mnky_ads id=”3361″][vc_empty_space height=”45px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”Chicago Blackhawks Playoff Roster” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]
